The standard Indian passport photo size is 3.5cm x 4.5cm (roughly 413 x 531 pixels at 300 DPI). For online submissions, most portals accept JPEG images between 10KB and 200KB. For international passport photos, common dimensions vary: US passport (2x2 inches / 600x600 pixels), UK passport (35x45mm printed, which is 413x531 pixels at 300 DPI — but a digital upload must be at least 600x750), Schengen visa (35x45mm), and Canadian passport (50x70mm). What the cropper does not do is just as important: it crops to the shape and nothing more. It does not change the background, and it does not check that your head is the right size within the frame.
