Resize Image — Free, Fast & Private

MiniPx makes resizing images simple. Set exact pixel dimensions, resize by percentage, or choose from preset sizes for social media, web, and print. The aspect ratio is maintained automatically unless you choose to override it.

Resizing works hand-in-hand with compression. A 4000x3000 photo from your phone is far larger than most uses require. Reducing dimensions to 1920px, 1280px, or 800px dramatically cuts file size while keeping images sharp enough for screens, uploads, and documents.

Common resizing needs include: reducing photos for email attachments, hitting exact dimensions for website headers, preparing images for social media posts, and meeting upload requirements for government forms and job portals.

MiniPx processes everything client-side. Your photos never leave your device — particularly important when resizing personal documents, ID photos, and passport images.

For batch resizing, add multiple images and apply the same dimensions to all of them. Download individually or as a ZIP archive.

How it works

  1. Upload your image: Add the photo or image you need to resize. All common formats are supported.
  2. Set target dimensions: Enter exact pixel width and height, or choose a max width preset (1920px, 1280px, 800px, 640px).
  3. Choose output format: Select JPG for photos, PNG for graphics. WebP for smallest file size.
  4. Download resized image: Preview the result with exact dimensions shown, then download.

Frequently asked questions

Can I resize an image to exact pixel dimensions?
Yes. Set the max width in MiniPx and the image will be resized to that width while maintaining aspect ratio. For exact width and height, crop the image first, then resize.
Does resizing reduce image quality?
Reducing dimensions slightly softens fine detail, but for web and screen use the difference is imperceptible. A 4000px photo resized to 1920px looks identical on most monitors.
What dimensions should I use for social media?
Instagram: 1080x1350 (portrait) or 1080x1080 (square). Facebook: 1200x630. Twitter/X: 1600x900. LinkedIn: 1200x627. MiniPx has preset sizes for all major platforms.
How do I resize multiple images at once?
Add all your images to MiniPx, set the target dimensions, and resize them in batch. Each image is processed independently in your browser.
Is there a file size limit?
No. MiniPx has no file size limit because processing happens in your browser, not on a server. However, very large files (50MB+) may take a few seconds to process depending on your device.
Can I resize without changing aspect ratio?
Yes. By default MiniPx maintains the original aspect ratio. Set a max width and the height adjusts proportionally.
