Bangladesh E-Passport Photo Maker — Free, Fast & Private
The Bangladesh E-Passport photo is 45×55 mm on plain white in print, and 531×650 px where the Bangladesh form wants an upload. Department of Immigration & Passports puts the head at 70–80% of the height, chin to crown, and the eyes at 60–70% up from the bottom edge.
Plain white background. Coloured photo taken within last 6 months. No smile, mouth closed, eyes open. For e-passport (epassport.gov.bd) applications.
Bangladesh is the odd one out in this catalogue twice over. Structurally, at 45 by 55 millimetres it is the widest-proportioned document here, 0.818 wide to tall against 0.778 for the 35 by 45 standard, exporting at 531 by 651 pixels, so the figure 531 that is the height of an Indian passport photograph is the width of this one. Procedurally, the passport authority itself settles the question that matters most here. Instruction 3 on the e-passport portal at epassport.gov.bd reads, in Bengali, that no photograph need be attached to the e-passport form and none need be attested, because the biometric image is captured in person during enrolment at the passport office or the mission. Read on 23 August 2026. Where a photograph does enter the process it is for someone else or for the very young: a parent's photograph accompanies an application for a child under twelve, and applicants under six are asked for a laboratory print at 3R, which is 9 by 13 centimetres, against a grey or off-white background rather than white. Those mission pages also ask for dark clothing and say white is not allowed, on the same reasoning that keeps a white head covering out of a Pakistani photograph.
Confusing this with the 35 by 45 standard is easy, since the two look alike until you measure them, and they cannot be converted by scaling: rescale one into the other and the face stretches. Assuming a photograph is wanted at all is the other error, and it costs a trip. Read the instructions for the applicant's age before you buy prints. Sourcing note, because it changes how much weight the rest of this page carries: the instruction that no photograph is attached comes from the portal itself, read on 23 August 2026, but the dimensions and byte window shown above do not. They are this tool's recorded target and appear on no government page we have been able to read, the Department of Immigration and Passports publishing no photograph specification sheet we could find. Treat the millimetres here as a sensible print size for the under-six laboratory print and for your own records, not as a rule anyone will measure you against.
All of that happens in this browser tab: 531×650 JPEG on plain white, nothing uploaded. Figures come from Department of Immigration & Passports — epassport.gov.bd. If one has gone stale, contact@minipx.com.
