Privacy here is structural, not a promise. There is no server-side image processing — the entire pipeline executes on your machine.

How it works

Is my photo really never uploaded?
Yes. The AI runs in your browser through WebGPU. Open DevTools, watch the Network tab, drop in an image. You will see no image data leaves. The source is open for inspection.
Why is there a download the first time?
That is the AI model file. Choose Instant tier (250 KB, MediaPipe Selfie — great for people/portraits) or Better quality (44 MB, RMBG-1.4 — handles objects, animals, products). Either way it caches in your browser after the first load and the tool works offline after that.
How does the quality compare to remove.bg?

Does it work on a phone?
Yes, on any modern browser including iOS Safari 17.4+ and Android Chrome 113+. Processing is slower than on a laptop.
What is the free tier limit?
Free tier processes images up to 1080×1080 pixels and adds a small "minipx.com" watermark. Pro tier removes the watermark, supports up to 4096×4096 pixels, and unlocks the compose-on-background colour palette.
What image formats are supported?
Input: JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF. Output: PNG with transparent background, or composed on a solid colour you pick.
