Product Photo Background Remover — Free, Fast & Private
Every marketplace has its own product-photo rules. Amazon wants pure white (RGB 255,255,255), Etsy is flexible but recommends clean light backgrounds, Shopify themes look best with transparent or white, eBay accepts most but converts well with white. MiniPx outputs transparent PNG by default — that's the universal source format, and you can drop it onto white, gradient, or any brand colour at export time. When the deliverable is specifically a pure-white listing image, the white background product photo page covers the marketplace policies, lighting trade-offs, and batch workflow end to end.
The HD tier (RMBG-1.4) is the right choice for product shots. It handles fine edges (jewellery, embroidery, fabric texture, mesh, transparent packaging) far better than the older grabcut-style tools that come bundled with most marketplace dashboards.
Privacy matters for unreleased products
If you're shooting product photos before a launch — a new collection, a prototype, a contract manufacturer's sample — uploading those shots to a remote AI tool is a leak risk. MiniPx runs the AI model on your device, so the photos never enter a network request. Safe for embargoed launches, NDA-bound contract work, and pre-release pricing tests.
The full ecommerce image workflow
Two marketplace rules are worth stating as numbers, because they are checked rather than suggested. Amazon requires the main image on pure white — RGB 255, 255, 255 exactly, which a photographed white sheet never is — with the product filling at least 85% of the frame, and needs 1600px on the longest side before the detail-page zoom switches on. eBay uses the same 1600px threshold for its zoom feature and refuses anything under 500 × 500. A cutout composited on true white satisfies both at once, which is why removing the background beats trying to light one into compliance.
After the cutout, you'll typically: (1) crop to 1:1 for marketplace squares or 4:5 for portrait, (2) resize to the marketplace's preferred dimensions (typically 1200×1200 or 2000×2000), and (3) compress to under 200KB so your listing pages load fast. All steps run in the same browser session. Pro tier adds responsive sets (4 sizes from one input) + AVIF/WebP export so you can serve modern formats directly.
