Frequently asked questions

Does this work better than Photoshop's "Select Color Range" for white backgrounds?

For simple uniform-white backgrounds with high-contrast subjects, both work. MiniPx wins when the subject has white elements (white shirt, white logo) that confuse colour-key tools — the AI model uses semantic understanding instead of colour matching.

Can I remove off-white or cream backgrounds?

Yes — the AI doesn't require pure white. It treats anything that's clearly "the backdrop" as background, regardless of exact colour. Slight yellow tints, paper textures, light shadows are all handled.

What if the subject also has white in it?

The HD tier handles this well. White subjects on white backgrounds is the hardest case for any tool — MiniPx uses RMBG-1.4, which is trained on salient-object separation rather than colour keying. Quality is comparable to remove.bg and Photoroom for these inputs.

Can I keep the white background but remove just a logo or watermark?
