Enhancement is three passes, and every one of them is anchored to your own pixels. First a clean-up model trained on the damage real photos actually carry — blur, noise, JPEG blocking — runs over the whole photograph and is blended with the original so it sharpens without inventing. Then every face the detector finds is restored, checked against the original for identity, and pasted back under a mask that follows the face outline, so hair, neck and clothing stay exactly as you shot them. Last, a faded print’s grey veil is lifted and its colour comes back a little. A face the model cannot restore faithfully is left as it arrived; a photo without a face still gets the other two passes.

It keeps the size on purpose. Making a soft photo four times bigger makes the softness four times bigger too, and the model that does that job well needs clean input and a long run. So this page cleans, and the ×4 upscaler enlarges — with the time it will take stated before you start, because it scales with the photo. The limits and the meter, in plain words. Input runs to 25 MB and 24 megapixels — a larger source resizes down first with the on-device resizer. Cloud runs are part of MiniPx Pro: 150 a month on the Monthly plan, 200 on Annual, shared across the server-side tools; an enhancement is one of them, never an HD run. The count renders before every run and on your account page. A refused or failed run is not charged.

Privacy, stated plainly. This is one of the few MiniPx tools that runs on a server. Your photo is encrypted in transit, processed once, deleted on completion and in all cases within 24 hours, and never used to train anything — ours or anyone else’s. Everything else on this site, from the background remover to the compressors, never uploads your image at all.

  3. Let the server enhance it: Clean-up, faces, fade — usually well under a minute, longer on a cold start. The bar shows each stage.
  4. Download the result: Same size, cleaner, sharper. Your uploaded file is deleted before the download link reaches you.

Frequently asked questions

What does the enhancer actually do?
Three things, in order, on our GPU: a clean-up pass over the whole photograph (a model trained on real-world blur, noise and JPEG damage, blended with your own pixels so nothing is invented), a face pass when faces are found (each face is restored, checked against the original for identity, and pasted back under a mask that follows the face outline), and a fade correction that lifts the grey veil of a faded print. The photo comes back at the same size.
Does it make the photo bigger?
No — and that is deliberate. Magnifying a soft photo magnifies the damage with it. Enhance first; if you then need more pixels, the ×4 upscaler on the increase-resolution page takes the cleaned result, and tells you how long it will take before you start (it scales with size, roughly a minute per megapixel).
What if there is no face in the photo?
The whole-photo passes still run. A face is never required; when one is found it simply gets the extra attention. A face the model cannot restore faithfully is left exactly as it arrived rather than replaced with someone else.
Does the photo leave my device?
For this tool, yes — the models are too heavy for a browser. The photo travels encrypted, is processed once on our server, and is deleted on completion and in all cases within 24 hours. It is never used to train anything. Nearly every other MiniPx tool stays on your device.
What are the limits and the cost?
