Removal is reconstruction, and this page is honest about what that means. The model behind it, PowerPaint, was built for exactly this task: given a photo and a painted-over region, it fills the region with what the surrounding scene suggests was there — the fence continues, the sand continues, the sky closes over. What comes back is a plausible reconstruction, not a photograph of what was really behind the object. For holiday photos and product shots that distinction rarely matters; for anything where the truth of the image matters, it always does, and you should know it before you download.
The selection is yours, drawn on your own screen. The brush paints at the photo’s native resolution — what you cover is exactly what the server is told to remove, down to the pixel. Cover the whole object with a little margin, and take the shadow and the reflection with it: the model removes what you painted, and a shadow left behind belongs to nothing. The selection travels as a tiny compressed mask beside your photo, and both are deleted together when the result is ready.
This is one of the few MiniPx tools that runs on a server, and the page treats that as a disclosure, not a footnote. Almost every tool on this site — the background remover, the compressors, the crop tool — processes your image on your own device, and your file never leaves your browser. Object removal is different because an inpainting model of this quality is simply too large to ship to a browser. So your photo is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed once, and deleted on completion — in all cases within 24 hours, with the inputs gone before your download link is even issued. It is never used to train anything, ours or anyone else’s.
Know which tool you actually want. If one thing has to go and the rest of the photo should stay untouched, that is this page.
