Browser-Based Image CompressorFree, Fast & Private

MiniPx is a fully browser-based image compressor. Open the website, drop your images, and compress. No software to download, no account to create, no permissions to grant. It works on Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, iPad, Android, and Chromebook — any device with a modern web browser.

Being browser-based means MiniPx runs on your device, not on a server. Your images are processed using JavaScript and browser APIs. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, nothing is tracked. This is fundamentally more private than server-based compressors.

Performance is excellent on modern hardware. Browser image processing has improved dramatically — compressing a batch of photos takes seconds on recent devices. The experience is comparable to native desktop applications.

MiniPx works offline once loaded. Open the page, disconnect from the internet, and it continues to work. This is useful on flights, in areas with poor connectivity, or any time you want to ensure complete privacy.

No daily quotas, no monthly credits, no account, no watermark. The limits that do exist are the ones your own device imposes: 200 MB per file, and 5 files per batch on the free tier with Pro removing that cap. The compressor, converter, resizer, PDF tools, and HEIC converter are all included.

How it works

  1. Open MiniPx in any browser: Navigate to minipx.com in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, or any modern browser on any device.
  2. Add your images: Drop images into the page or tap to select. All common formats supported.
  3. Choose settings: Select format, compression level, and output dimensions.
  4. Download results: Compressed images are saved directly to your device.

Frequently asked questions

Which browsers are supported?
Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Opera, Brave, and Samsung Internet all work. Any modern browser updated within the last two years will run MiniPx without issues.
Does it work on phone and tablet?
Yes. MiniPx is fully responsive and works on iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets. The interface adapts to any screen size.
How is this different from installing an app?
No installation means no storage used, no permissions needed, no updates to manage, and no app to remove later. Open the website and start working immediately.
Is browser compression as good as desktop apps?
For typical compression and conversion tasks, yes. Modern browser APIs produce results comparable to desktop applications. The main limitation is that very large batches (hundreds of files) process faster on desktop apps.
Does it really work offline?
Yes. Once the page loads, all processing happens locally. You can disconnect from the internet and MiniPx continues to function normally.
Are there any usage limits?
There is no daily quota, no monthly credit, no account requirement, and no watermark. To be exact about the ones that do exist: 200 MB per file, and 5 files per batch on the free tier — Pro removes the batch cap. Above 200 MB the constraint is how much memory your browser tab can give a decoded image, which is the same reason nothing gets uploaded in the first place.
