The robot face is now the default marker for bots, automation and anything AI-driven. It is a wide grey box with two glowing eyes and small antennae, and that machine-like squareness stands apart from the round glyphs surrounding it. The antennae are fine detail and they are the part that will not last.
A chatbot, an automation platform, or documentation for an AI API. It misleads on robotics and hardware sites, where visitors expect physical machines and find software. It also carries a slightly dated cartoon-robot register that can undercut a serious machine-learning product, and on customer support tools it reads as an admission that no human is available.

Reacquisition is better than the grey palette suggests, because the two bright eyes give it a light pattern almost nothing else has. It collides with the alien and the ogre on face-shaped silhouette, and with the desktop computer and the television on rectangularity, but the eye pattern separates it from all of them at 16 pixels.

Beside a page title the head reads as a rounded grey rectangle with two bright dots. The antennae and side pieces are gone. Those two dots are effectively the whole identity, which means your icon accent colour is whatever your platform chose for the eyes, and you have no control over that from this page. The grey head block and two bright eyes survive at 16 pixels; the antennae and ear pieces do not. It still reads as machine.
Where vendors disagree about robot face
Head colour ranges from cool grey to a warm metallic tone, and eye colour from blue through cyan to white. Since the eyes are the only bright element surviving small sizes, that colour choice is effectively your accent colour and it is decided by the visitor operating system. Some designs add a visible mouth grille, which is noise at icon sizes.
