The official wording

scanned specimen signature [File Size: 20kb - 30kb] in JPG/PNG file format.

Source: TGPSC Notification No. 04/G/SE/2026 — Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in DIET, p. 82, Instructions to the applicants, item 4 (18.06.2026) — checked 6 October 2026

Only need the signature under 30 KB, with no pixel rules? Compress image to 30 KB aims at that size alone; the tool on this page also checks the lower limit.

The Telangana Public Service Commission states both limits in a single sentence of its instructions to applicants. The table quotes it from the TGPSC Notification No. 04/G/SE/2026 — Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in DIET (p. 82, Instructions to the applicants, item 4); the TGPSC Notification No. 05/G/TP/2026 — Assistant Director of Town Planning prints the same sentence with the same figures. Those are the two 2026 notifications MiniPx opened — a notification for another post can differ, so compare the sentence in yours with the one above before you upload.

A floor of 100 KB means growing the file

No other exam MiniPx has checked sets a photograph floor this high. Most exam advice is about squeezing a photo down. For TGPSC the risk runs the other way: a passport photo cropped and saved efficiently is often well under 100 KB, and a file below the band is outside the notification however good it looks.

Kilobytes are counted two ways, so the tool takes the safe one for a floor: at least 1,02,400 bytes, reading a kilobyte as 1,024. If your photo comes in under, use a larger, sharper source rather than padding it with background — the face should stay the subject of the picture.

Recent means three months before the last date

The notification asks for a recent colour passport-size photograph, not older than 3 months before the last date of the application. The clock runs back from the closing date of the application, not from the day you apply, so a photo that was recent when the notification came out may be too old if you apply late in a long window.

The signature and the file format

The signature has its own band, 20–30 KB: a scanned specimen signature, with no pixel size or box stated. Both files may be JPG or PNG. The tool makes a JPG, one of the two formats the notification accepts.

Rules on what gets an upload refused are collected for every exam on the exam rejection reasons page, and the government exams page lists every notice MiniPx has checked.

Common rejection reasons

The TGPSC 2026 notice lists no separate rejection causes for the photo and signature beyond the specification above. Every cause the exam bodies do state is collected, with its page, on the exam rejection reasons page.

The tool runs in your browser and the image is not uploaded to MiniPx.

How it works

  1. Use a recent colour photo: A passport-size colour photograph taken within three months of the last date of the application.
  2. Scan your signature: Scan your specimen signature, cropped close to the ink.
  3. Fit each file to its band: The tool keeps the photograph 100–200 KB and the signature 20–30 KB, checking the floor as well as the ceiling.
  4. Upload in the application: Upload both as JPG in the TGPSC online application.
