The official wording

scanned specimen signature [File Size: 20kb - 30kb] in JPG/PNG file format.

Source: TGPSC Notification No. 04/G/SE/2026 — Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in DIET, p. 82, Instructions to the applicants, item 4 (18.06.2026) — checked 6 October 2026

Only need the signature under 30 KB, with no pixel rules? Compress image to 30 KB aims at that size alone; the tool on this page also checks the lower limit.

The record is built from two notifications of the Telangana Public Service Commission: the TGPSC Notification No. 04/G/SE/2026 — Senior Lecturers and Lecturers in DIET (p. 82, Instructions to the applicants, item 4, 18.06.2026) and the TGPSC Notification No. 05/G/TP/2026 — Assistant Director of Town Planning (p. 38, Annexure-VI, item 4, 06.07.2026). Both word the signature the same way: scanned specimen signature [File Size: 20kb - 30kb] in JPG/PNG file format. That is the entire specification. There is no pixel size, no printed box, no ink colour and no scan resolution. Other TGPSC notifications were not opened for this page, and a later one may differ, so read the one you are applying under.

What “specimen” asks of you

A specimen signature is the one the Commission keeps on file to compare with your hand later. The notification does not spell out how it will be used, so treat the word as a reason to submit your genuine, everyday signature rather than a stylised one. That is our reading and not a stated rule. A clean, dark, uncramped scan serves any later comparison better than a clever one.

The floor is the part that catches people

The band runs from 20 KB to 30 KB, a span of 10 KB. A signature on white paper is a very light image, and an efficient scan or a heavily compressed phone photo of one can come out below the minimum. A file under the floor is outside the band just as a file over the ceiling is. If the tool reports it came in under, use a larger crop, a higher-resolution photograph or a gentler setting so it grows back; do not pad it with blank paper.

Kilobytes are counted two ways, so the tool uses the safe reading for each end: at most 30,000 bytes, and at least 20,480 bytes. A file that clears both passes however the portal counts.

The notification allows JPG or PNG. The tool makes a JPG, which is one of the two.

  1. Sign on plain white paper in a dark pen, at your everyday size.
  2. Scan or photograph it flat, then crop with a thin margin.
  3. Drop it into the tool and check the size against both ends of the band.
  4. Upload it as the specimen signature in the TGPSC application.

Common rejection reasons

The TGPSC 2026 notice lists no separate rejection causes for the signature beyond the specification above. Every cause the exam bodies do state is collected, with its page, on the exam rejection reasons page.

The photograph sits in a higher band

The photograph has its own band, 100–200 KB, and a rule about how recent it is. They are on the TGPSC photo page. Its floor is higher than the signature’s, so a file cannot be reused across the two. The UPPSC signature is a ceiling-only rule that works the opposite way, and the government exams hub lists every commission MiniPx has checked.

The tool runs in your browser and the signature is not uploaded to MiniPx.

How it works

  1. Sign your genuine signature: Plain white paper, a dark pen, your everyday signature.
  2. Scan and crop: Scan or photograph it flat and crop with a thin margin.
  3. Fit it inside the band: The tool targets 20–30 KB and checks the floor as well as the ceiling.
  4. Upload it: Upload the JPG as the specimen signature in the TGPSC online application.
