Only need the signature under 20 KB, with no pixel rules? Compress image to 20 KB aims at that size alone; the tool on this page also checks the lower limit.
State Bank of India prints the same figures in the SBI PO 2026-27 — Detailed Advertisement CRPD/PO/2026-27/09 (Annexure-II): 10–20 KB, 140 × 60 pixels preferred. One file serves both applications, which is why this page covers both banks. The IBPS line is the IBPS CRP-PO/MT-XVI — Detailed Notification (Annexure, pp. 39–41): Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred). Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb.
Signing on a canvas that small
The preferred size, 140 × 60 pixels, is a strip about 2.3 times as wide as it is tall, and far smaller than any photo your phone takes. It is marked “preferred”, not required, but it tells you what the upload form expects to display. A signature photographed at full phone resolution and then shrunk to that canvas loses its thin strokes first, so, as our advice rather than a notice rule, sign with a dark, medium-point pen and a steady hand. The notice names the setup: sign on white paper with a black ink pen.
The size band, 10–20 KB, is the part that is enforced as a number. The tool counts the ceiling the strict way, 20,000 bytes, and the floor the strict way, 10,240 bytes. Both ends bind: a clean strip that is heavily compressed can slip under the floor.
Sign it the way you will sign it in the hall
Two rules in the bank notices have nothing to do with file size. The first is capital letters, which IBPS rules out in one line: Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be accepted.
The second is consistency. IBPS says: If the Applicant’s signature on the attendance sheet or Call letter, signed at the time of the examination, does not match the signature uploaded, the applicant will be disqualified.
(PDF p. 41 (printed 38), Annexure III). SBI says: If the Applicant’s signature on the answer script, at the time of the examination, does not match the signature on the Call Letter, the applicant will be disqualified.
(p. 15, Annexure-II). The practical consequence is not about the upload; it is that the signature you scan today should be the one you sign on the day, in the same hand and the same shape.
- Sign on plain white paper, in black ink, in your ordinary hand.
- Photograph it flat in even light and crop close to the strokes.
- Compress it in the tool above and read the exact size it shows.
- Upload it in the signature field of the IBPS or SBI form, and keep the original for comparison.

The other three files on a bank form
The bank forms ask for a photograph, a left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration as well. They have separate limits, on the IBPS photo page, the SBI photo page, the left thumb page and the declaration page. To get any other image under 20 KB with no bank checks, the 20 KB compressor aims at that size alone.
The tool runs in your browser and the signature is not uploaded to MiniPx.
